The number of highly skilled Indians who are making the switch from being on the green card wait list to applying for Canada PR is steadily increasing. According to the Canadian government report on Express Entry for 2017, more than 100,000 applications were received for Canada PR visa out of which most of the applicants belonged to workers in the ICE or information, Communication, Entertainment segment including engineers, programmers, and university lecturers. This clearly indicates that a number of Indians have gotten tired of waiting indefinitely for their green card in the USA and prefer to have more freedom with their career choices than they are afforded with an H-1B visa are turning towards Canada with renewed hope.
